ClearWorks

Trust by Design

Software for high stakes

Security, compliance, and privacy aren't features we add. They're how we build. Every architecture decision, every line of code, every deployment pipeline is shaped by the assumption that the data we handle matters deeply to the people who trust us with it.

We work with organizations where the cost of getting it wrong isn't a bad review — it's a breach, a regulatory action, or a loss of public trust. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, whether we're building for a hospital, a government, or any organization that expects its information to remain safe and private.

Secure by Default

Encryption, defense in depth, audit logs.
Security is the architecture.

Compliance-Grade

SOC 2. PIPEDA. NIST.
Regulation‑ready from the start.

Privacy-First

We're obsessed with privacy.
Your data stays yours.

The ClearWorks Philosophy

ClearWorks is a Canadian software foundry. We design, build, and operate products in spaces where trust is the baseline requirement. We start building when we see a way to do something better, and more honestly, than what exists today.

We're small by choice. A focused team means every project gets careful attention, not a handoff to whoever's available. We own our decisions end to end — from the first conversation about what to build, through architecture and implementation, to the infrastructure it runs on. When something goes wrong, there's no ambiguity about who's responsible.

Transparency

Intuitive experiences. Not black boxes.

Craftsmanship

Intentional designs. No shortcuts.

Security

Threats evolve. Defenses evolve faster.

Care

Apps for people, not just users.

Who is ClearWorks?

Leo Dias, Founder of ClearWorks

Leo Dias

Founder

ClearWorks is the work of Leo Dias — a Brazilian-Canadian engineer and executive with over twenty years of experience building technology for environments where trust isn't optional. From deploying Canada's first AI-powered hospital Command Centre at GE Healthcare to overseeing cybersecurity and data governance as a VP at HIROC, Leo's career has been shaped by a single thread: making complex systems earn the confidence of the people who depend on them.

Leo's path has taken him from engineering labs in Brazil and Budapest to consulting rooms in London and boardrooms in Toronto. He holds an MSc in IT Management from Central European University and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, one of Latin America's top universities. Today, he serves on the boards of Hamilton Health Sciences and The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Care Group — bringing the same care to governance that he brings to code.

He founded ClearWorks because he believed there was a better way to build software for regulated, high-stakes contexts — one grounded in privacy, transparency, and craft. When he's not building, you'll likely find him chasing live music or planning his next trip somewhere new.
